DIVING
There are a number of world class dive sites within
a short boat ride. These sites require differing
levels of expertise from beginners through to challenging
advanced open water levels.
Schools of hammerhead sharks are common phenomena
for the die hard thrill seeker.
Equipment and dive masters can be arranged and are
provided by a reputable international dive company.
SNORKELING
Within the bay there are several reefs to be explored,
offering several options for snorkeling. Various
underwater creatures to be seen include lobsters,
moray eels, lionfish, parrotfish and a variety of
corals.
FISHING
Fishing outside the bay can be rewarding with catches
of mackerel, wahoo, tuna and the odd sailfish.
By prior request' it would be possible to charter
a fully rigged 30' sport fishing boat, for further
ranging deep-sea trolling expeditions for the serious
enthusiast.
SURFING
Depending on swell conditions there are various
breaks in and outside the bay. Outside the bay the
Indian Ocean creates perfect waves for surfing at
several easily accessible locations. Determined
by swell conditions the bay itself also has some
small surfable waves to offer.
TREKKING
There are various walks and treks through and around
the local villages and their various sites of interest
and to the top of the ridge where there are spectacular
views of both the bay and the outside coastline.
Witness a way of life that has remained little changed
for hundreds of years as the locals go about their
daily exsistence.
